Jennifer Mazzei has been practicing law for nearly two decades. She began her career as a prosecutor in the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office under the Honorable Kathleen M. Rice. Jennifer prosecuted serious felony offenses, conducted wiretap investigations, and worked closely with detectives, police officers, and federal agents.
During her time with the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office, Jennifer presented numerous cases to the Grand Jury, conducted evidentiary hearings, and tried cases to verdict.
She was eventually selected to join the elite Organized Crime and Rackets Bureau, where she worked closely with state and federal agents to investigate and prosecute cases involving organized crime, child sexual abuse, child pornography, drug manufacturing, and distribution, violations of New York State tax law, witness tampering, gambling-related offenses, and enterprise corruption.
During that time, Jennifer collaborated with the United States Attorney’s Office for both the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. While assigned to the Organized Crime and Rackets Bureau, she conducted numerous investigations involving court-authorized eavesdropping warrants (wiretaps) on approximately seventeen different phones. Her work earned her multiple awards from the federal government, including the “True American Hero Award” from the Federal Drug Agents Foundation, the award for “Superior Performance in the Field of Drug Law Enforcement” from the Federal Drug Agents Foundation, an award for “Professionalism and Dedication” from the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Strike Force Financial Investigations Team, and an award for “Hard Work and Dedication” from the United States Department of Justice.

She has also been “Lead Counsel” rated in the area of felony and misdemeanor criminal defense.
Today, Jennifer focuses her practice on immigration family petitions where she assists clients in bringing their loved ones to the United States of America and also on special education matters, where she passionately pursues justice for her clients.
